Medan, 21 Mei 2024 – Tokocrypto, sebagai pedagang aset kripto terdepan di Indonesia, berkomitmen untuk meningkatkan literasi finansial dan pengetahuan investasi, serta memperkenalkan teknologi blockchain kepada masyarakat Indonesia. Dalam rangka Bulan Literasi Kripto (BLK) 2024, Tokocrypto bersama Asosiasi Blockchain & Pedagang Aset Kripto Indonesia (Aspakrindo-ABI) mengadakan program edukasi dan literasi keuangan dan aset kripto di Medan, Sumatra Utara pada 19 Mei 2024.

Rendahnya pengetahuan dan pemahaman masyarakat tentang pentingnya mengelola keuangan dan aset kripto, ditambah dengan tingkat literasi pendidikan yang masih rendah, rentan menimbulkan kerugian di masyarakat. Sejumlah tantangan dalam upaya peningkatan literasi keuangan muncul dari faktor seperti kondisi geografis yang berjauhan, akses internet yang belum merata, hingga kesenjangan pada tingkat pendidikan dan ekonomi serta indeks literasi keuangan. Semua ini membuat upaya mengedukasi masyarakat tentang keuangan digital menjadi lebih kompleks.

“Kami di Tokocrypto menyadari tantangan-tantangan ini, dan kami berkomitmen untuk terus berusaha mengatasinya. Melalui berbagai program edukasi yang kami selenggarakan, termasuk Bulan Literasi Kripto, kami berharap dapat memberikan pengetahuan yang diperlukan kepada masyarakat agar mereka dapat memahami dan memanfaatkan teknologi kripto dengan bijak,” kata Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Tokocrypto, Wan Iqbal.

Menurut Iqbal, kunci bagi para pemula yang ingin berinvestasi di kripto adalah untuk memfilter arus informasi yang berkembang sangat pesat saat ini. Iqbal mengatakan bahwa kegiatan Roadshow Bulan Literasi Kripto (BLK) di Medan merupakan acara keempat dalam rangkaian tersebut, dengan tujuan memberikan edukasi mengenai aset kripto, terutama terkait regulasi dan pengembangan kripto di Indonesia.

“Kami juga membahas proyeksi masa depan kripto di Indonesia, intinya memberikan edukasi lengkap tentang aset kripto. Animonya luar biasa di Medan, dengan 300 peserta yang mendaftar,” kata Iqbal.

Iqbal menjelaskan bahwa roadshow edukasi tentang kripto ini dilakukan secara rutin setiap tahun. Hal ini sejalan dengan tren peningkatan minat terhadap kripto di Indonesia. Tercatat hingga saat ini di Indonesia, sudah ada 19,75 juta orang yang berinvestasi di kripto.

“Kami melihat potensinya akan semakin besar ke depannya. Saat ini, jumlah investor kripto masih sekitar 10 persen dari total penduduk Indonesia. Maka dari itu, kami aktif melakukan edukasi. Tahun lalu, Tokocrypto telah mengunjungi lebih dari 30 kota dengan 27 ribu peserta yang mengikuti seminar edukasi kami,” tutur Iqbal.

Iqbal juga memprediksi bahwa potensi perkembangan investasi kripto akan semakin meningkat. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan sosialisasi dan edukasi tentang perkembangan kripto, seperti program BLK. Secara keseluruhan sudah ada 35 Calon Pedagang Fisik Aset Kripto (CPFAK) yang berlisensi di Indonesia, termasuk Tokocrypto, yang diawasi oleh Bappebti. Berdasarkan UU P2SK terbaru, mulai tahun 2025 aset kripto akan langsung diawasi oleh Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK).

“Dari asosiasi, kegiatan ini adalah agenda rutin setiap tahun. Dari Tokocrypto sendiri, kami juga mengadakan program offline rutin ke kota-kota di seluruh Indonesia. Ada juga platform Tokocrypto Academy yang bisa diakses secara online, kapan saja dan di mana saja, secara gratis. Sudah tersedia lebih dari 300 modul tentang kripto. Siapa pun bisa belajar dengan mudah karena fitur-fiturnya sudah tersedia dalam bahasa Indonesia,” tutupnya.
