Wakil Bupati Ogan Ilir H Ardani SH, di dampingi oleh Kepala Dinas Pendidikan Dan Kebudayaan Kabupaten Ogan Ilir Sayadi S Sos M Si Membuka Langsung kegiatan O2SN Tingkat Kabupaten Tahun 2024, yang dilaksanakan di Komplek Perkantoran Terpadu Tanjung Senai Inderalaya, tepatnya lapangan depan kantor Dinas Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Kabupaten Ogan Ilir, Selasa(21/5/2024).

Kegiatan dihadiri oleh seluruh kepala sekolah, korwil dan K3S dan siswa -siswi peserta O2SN se-kabupaten Ogan Ilir.

Wakil Bupati Ogan Ilir Ardani SH, mengatakan Olimpiade Olahraga Siswa Nasional(O2SN) ini yang pertama kali dilaksanakan dalam kepemimpinannya. Selama tiga tahun menjabat sebagai Wakil Bupati Ogan Ilir.“

Kegiatan Olimpiade Olahraga Siswa Nasional (O2SN) ini adalah yang pertama kali dalam kepemimpinan kami, Bapak Panca Wijaya Akbar sebagai Bupati Kabupaten Ogan Ilir dan saya sebagai wakil bupatinya, karena di tahun 2021,2022 dan ditahun 2023 masih dalam suasana Covid-19, oleh karena itu patut di syukuri Olimpiade Olahraga Siswa Nasional ini dapat di laksanakan kembali di tahun 2024,” kata dia.

Lanjut Wabup, oleh karena itu melalui kegiatan O2SN tahun ini diharapkan dapat memupuk kebersamaan, persaudaraan dan silaturahmi sesama kita dan tentu dapat membangkitkan semangat olahraga dikalangan Siswa -siswi baik dilingkungan SMP atau pun dilingkungan SD di Kabupaten Ogan Ilir.“

Tentu melalui Olimpiade Olahraga Siswa Nasional tingkat kabupaten ini kita mengharapkan akan muncul anak-anak kita siswa-siswi kita yang dapat meningkatkan prestasinya di bidang olahraga. Sehingga bisa mengharumkan dan bisa membawa nama baik kabupaten Ogan Ilir di level berikutnya, di tingkat Propinsi Sumatra Selatan bahkan ketingkat Nasional,” harapnya.

Wabup Ardani juga mengingatkan bahwa prestasi harus di kejar tetapi kekompakan kebersamaan harus juga di jaga.

“Prestasi kita kejar, tetapi jangan sampai lupa kita harus menjaga kebersamaan,persatuan diantara kita. Junjung tinggi sportivitas berolahraga berkompetisi, dan untuk dewan juri kami berharap dapat melaksanakan tugas dengan sebaik-baiknya dapat menjaga kenetralitas keadilan dalam memimpin dalam pelaksanaan O2SN, sehingga bisa memperoleh atlit yang memang yang mumpuni yang memang memiliki kemampuan dibidang cabang olahraganya masing-masing. Dan ini tentu akan terus kita bina karena akan mewarnai nama baik kabupaten Ogan Ilir,” kata Wabup.

Sementara Kepala Dinas Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Kabupaten Ogan Ilir Sayadi S Sos M Si, menjelaskan bahwa kegiatan O2SN sendiri merupakan kegiatan ajang tahunan, sempat vakum terkendala covid-19.

“Kegiatan O2SN ini adalah kegiatan Nasional, yang seharusnya dilaksanakan setiap tahun, tetapi ditahun-tahun kemarin terkendala covid-19 jadi kegiatannya sempat vakum, ditahun 2024 ini baru bisa dilaksanakan kembali ,” ujarnya usai kegiatan.

Lanjut Sayadi, sebelumnya ditingkat kecamatan sudah melakukan penjaringan seleksi bakal calon atlit diberbagai cabang olahraga. Ketua pelaksananya adalah korwil dan K3S dimasing-masing kecamatan.

“Kemudian hasil seleksi dari tingkat kecamatan kita laksanakan ditingkat Kabupaten, pemenangnya nanti yang dapat juara, kombinasi kolaborasi dari masing-masing sekolah yang menang akan kita kirim ketingkat provinsi nantinya insak allah akan kita kirim ke tingkat Nasional, karena ini program -program kegiatan Nasional,” teranganya.

Masih kata Sayadi, kegiatan ini dilaksanakan selama 4 (empat) hari, dari tanggal 21-24 Mei 2024.Semua cabang olahraga nasional hampir semuanya ditampilkan, mulai dari cabang olahraga lari, renang, bulutangkis dan lain-lain, untuk lebih secara rinci ketua pelaksana yang akan memberikan keterangan, cabang olahraga nasional apa saja yang akan di tampilkan.

“Saya berharap perwakilan atlit dari Kabupaten Ogan Ilir bisa maju ketingkat Nasional. Semoga anak-anak atlit dari Kabupaten Ogan Ilir bisa mengharumkan nama kabupaten Ogan Ilir, maju ke tingkat propinsi dan ketingkat Nasional,” pungkasnya.
