Mahasiswa Indonesia Berinovasi dalam Pengelolaan Sampah

Inovasi dalam pengelolaan sampah semakin berkembang di kalangan mahasiswa Indonesia. Dixon Marcello dan Sulthan Atha Muhammad, dua mahasiswa semester 8 dari STIE BMIT dan UPN Veteran Jawa Timur, melihat peluang besar dalam memanfaatkan limbah plastik menjadi produk bernilai tinggi. Dengan semangat keberlanjutan, mereka mendirikan Fure, sebuah brand furniture dan home decor berbasis material daur ulang yang kini berkembang pesat dan mendapat respons positif dari pasar.

Dalam perjalanannya, Dixon dan Sulthan juga mendapatkan bimbingan dalam program Sociopreneur Journey yang diselenggarakan oleh MAXY Academy bekerja sama dengan TBN Indonesia. Program ini membantu mereka memahami lebih dalam bagaimana membangun bisnis sosial yang berdampak dan berkelanjutan.

Perjalanan Fure: Dari Inspirasi Hingga Aksi

Fure didirikan pada November 2023 setelah Dixon dan Sulthan berinteraksi dengan para pengepul sampah plastik dan mengetahui harga jual plastik per kilogram. Dari situ, mereka mulai menggali lebih dalam tentang potensi pengolahan limbah menjadi sesuatu yang lebih bernilai.

Selain itu, mereka juga terinspirasi oleh Brothersmake, yang telah berhasil mengubah sampah menjadi produk inovatif. Dengan wawasan yang mereka peroleh, keduanya mulai merancang bisnis berbasis daur ulang melalui program WMK di Universitas Ciputra (UC). Awalnya, mereka hanya mencoba menjual produk home decor kecil berbasis material daur ulang seperti coaster (tatakan gelas), namun respons pasar yang sangat positif membuat mereka yakin untuk melanjutkan bisnis ini lebih serius.

Menjangkau Pasar dan Misi Sosial

Seiring berjalannya waktu, Fure berkembang pesat dan produknya mulai dikenal luas, bahkan hingga ke Makassar. Pada Maret 2025, Fure semakin memantapkan fokusnya dalam membangun pasar dan memperluas jangkauan produk. Namun, lebih dari sekadar bisnis, Fure juga memiliki misi sosial yang kuat.

Fure berupaya untuk mendukung pencapaian Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), khususnya tujuan pertama, yaitu No Poverty.
