The Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) is sharing the latest updates on Tokyo’s culture, technology, city initiatives, and daily life through its official social media channels. The total number of followers has now exceeded 1.37 million, reflecting growing global interest in the city. Below are some of the latest features and initiatives being shared via Tokyo Gov’s official channels.

1.Join SusHi Tech Tokyo, Asia’s largest innovation conference

Held annually in Tokyo around April and May, SusHi Tech Tokyo is Asia’s largest innovation conference, envisioning the future of sustainable cities.

Through the Tokyo Gov social media accounts, event highlights are shared in Reels and collaborative posts with international influencers, offering a dynamic look into the conference. This year, influencer Kawaii Coco (Instagram: @kawaiiicoco) also joined the event, sharing her experience with followers worldwide.

One interviewee, a woman from India currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Japan, shared how she has experienced Tokyo’s diversity, openness, and abundance of business opportunities, as well as the chance to gain valuable internship experience in an international academic environment.
